Contemplating a Return Visit to Colorado!
I made my first trip to Colorado in November of 2012. I had never been there before and so I was shocked when a snowstorm fell over the area in March of 2013. I was blown away at how crazy the conditions were. It is one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken. I haven’t made it back since, but I feel like Colorado is a must visit if I’m ever in the state. The skiing is great and so is the climate.
Getting There
The Rockies are literally in the middle of nowhere. Almost all of the resorts are between 50 and 90 minutes away from downtown Denver. I have been to Vail twice and it is truly my favorite place in the world. It is the best on the East coast when it comes to skiing and has a fantastic culture in addition to it.
Magnificent Sights to See in Colorado
The terrain is the best in the world, there are tons of terrain parks, and it is the home of the Olympic ski jumping events. Visiting this region is unlike anything I have ever experienced, it is amazing. However, I haven’t seen the scenery that Colorado offers in the summertime. I have a feeling there are some amazing places to visit and have fun in Colorado’s gorgeous summertime. One of my friends recommended that I stay at Hotels in Grand Junction to get a good view of the area. I’d be happy to see this, I just haven’t been able to do it yet.
Exciting Locations in Colorado for Thrill Seeking Travelers
When visiting Colorado, there are mountains and valleys to explore. They have some of the best white water rafting in Colorado, hands down! It is awesome when hiking and you get to see amazing views and the desert landscape. I don’t think the mountains in the summer are that great, but there is some great hiking in the mountains too. The area has deserts and forests. You can even get a good view of the Rocky Mountains from the top of Colorado’s oldest ski resort. Resorts in Vail CO tend to be a top choice for skiers who want to ski on immaculately groomed pistes. Due to the mountain shape, a single lift will provide access to more runs than you would normally find in Europe. If you had no ski equipment then you might be able to go somewhere similar to vail ski rentals or one close to your location, to potentially find some suitable ski equipment in Colorado. The biggest thing is the scenery. Colorado has some of the best scenery in the world. I had never seen anything like it before and I’ve visited some amazing places.
The ski resorts are amazing, but they don’t hold a candle to Vail in my opinion. I’ve skied at Beaver Creek and I think it is fantastic. This is a place where I would love to come back to. It is one of my favorite ski resorts in the world. I haven’t made it to Winter Park yet, but I’m hoping to visit it some time in the future. It would be really cool to ski there and I’d like to see the town of Winter Park and enjoy a few of the restaurants there. If you want to visit this beautiful place, Colorado is a must visit.
More Fun Things to Do in Colorado
There is a ton of different things to do when visiting Colorado. I don’t think there is anything I haven’t done there. It has amazing mountain biking and hiking in the summertime. There is also great fishing for those that want to enjoy it. I’m sure there are a lot more things to do there, but these are the ones I’m thinking about right now
